I am currently living at Kalo Terrace. This is my 3rd semester here. I feel that the Kalo Terrace is located in a very student friendly area. I feel safe at all times (although night time security is no longer offered) It is great to have the Resident Assistants on site and always available for help. I feel as though students who reside at Kalo Terrace take their residency priveledges for granted. Young Students do not understand how wonderful it is to be able to share an apartment with other students(young adults/adults) and not have to worry about them having to pay for their share of the rent. In the real world, if your room/suitemate doesn’t pay his/her share of the rent - you are out of luck. At kalo terrace only you as an individual are responsible for your share of the rent - and for this I am very appreciative. I also find it wonderful that there is an onsite laundry facility which is extremly cheap in cost of use. The resident assistants are available for assistance even if you become accidently locked out of your room or apartment. They will obtain a master key to let you into your room - this is somthing in the real world of which people would not be able to do (unless they were in real good with their landlord). It is also great how the resident assistants hold programs for their residents. I feel this is a great way for the Kalo Terrace student community to come together and get to know each other. It is ofcourse, also a great way for the resident assistants to talk and interact with residents on a more relaxed and sensible setting. In closing I would like to add, that given that I have lived at Kalo Terrace for three straight semesters in a row, given the opportunity I would gladly come back. However, I do feel that living in a Single occupancy unit with only 3 other suitemates would better fit my needs in my final semester as a student in Hawaii. I hope you at Hawaii Student Suites keep things going the way they have been - The only requst I might have is that Kalo Terrace have ESPN on their television, also as a suggestion - I would suggest that the Management make it more clear to the residents how to report internet/television signal problems :)

Aloha Ryan! Thanks for the kind words about Kalo Terrace! Since this message, we have improved our tv. signal and added several channels. Residents now have around 70!!! The internet has also improved since we have gone with a new faster company and offer wireless throughtout the property. These are just two of the many things we are doing to make Kalo Terrace that much better!

How far are you from the UH campus? Will I need to take the bus, or can I walk there?

Do you still have spaces available for Fall?

Got something to say?
